From Officer Sandy...
Gordon,
Thank you so much for your ostomy armor. Without this product, I would currently be out of a job and probably medically retired. I am a police officer of 24 years and love my job. Last year, I thought my career had ended due to an emergency operation. I had lost my battle to ulcerative colitis and ended up with an ileostomy. Your armor has allowed me to wear my issued equipment. I can now endure the physical training required to maintain my job. The Ostomy Armor allows me to wear my full uniform along with my issued gun belt fully loaded with my equipment. My belt is approximately 15 lbs and sits directly on the armor over my stoma all day. I can sit, run, crouch and crawl with no pain. My stoma is completely protected and functions as it should.
Like everyone, cops like to play, too. Since the surgery, I have continued to ride dirt bikes through the woods. And yes, I have had a few wrecks and each time there has been no injuries except my pride. Like falling off a horse... you get back on and go again. My bike weighs approximately 157 lbs. and I have had to pick it up and at no time have I had to worry about receiving a hernia from lifting this weight. Without the armor, I would hate to think of what type of injuries I might have sustained. I have been able to work out in the gym with no problem at all and never worry about the armor being seen since it is very low profile. I can not wait for it to get warmer because I love to Jet-Ski and plan to attack the lakes as the water begins to get warmer.
Gordon, from the bottom of my heart thank you for giving me my freedom back, the opportunity to retire from my job with dignity and allowing me to have as much fun as I can endure! Your armor has taken away the fear of injury and of having any type of leak or blow out while in public or while on duty. Thank you again for such a great product!
Respectfully,
Sgt. H...

T-Ball Tike...
This is the second armor we have bought. I got the first one just before my nephew started kindergarten. He is now halfway thru 1st grade and has just about worn it out. Your product has allowed this little boy to be as crazy and distructive as every other 6 year old boy in his class. It also gave mom the peace of mind that he would not be injured and allowed him to play his very first sport this last summer, T-Ball. He was so excited and proud to be able to play with all his friends. Thank you so much for making a product that includes children (something very, very hard to find in the ostomy product world).
My only suggestion either on your web site or included in the paperwork that comes with the armor when shipped are cleaning instructions.
Again Thank You!

Back to Work and Happy About It...
My husband just loves his armor and the air brush work; now he is back to work and we are getting on with our lives and having fun. I thank God for people like you; thank you for every thing. God Bless.
Karen and Bill C.
The belt now fits so well and we are doing very well thanks to you. Everywhere we go people ask how he is doing and he has to show his belt; he is so proud of it and now his doctor that did the surgery has your info, to pass on to others. He didn't know you were out there until we gave him your pamphlet. Thank you so much for given him back his life; we are having so much fun. God Bless.

Dragged by a Horse
Email from customer's wife titled "Proof your product really works!"
Today, he is more than happy with his armor. He was helping our son's girlfriend to train her horse, walking it by a lead rope. The horse bolted, dragging him on his stomach for at least 20 feet. When he got things back under control, he brushed himself off and assessed the damage to find... there was none. Well, his hands were all torn up with rope burn, he was filthy, and his muscles will probably ache a little tomorrow, but his ostomy was completely protected during the entire wild ride! No stomal irritation, bleeding - nothing.
I am SO GLAD I found this product! Thanks a million!

Highlights from the WOCN Conference
Ostomy Armor had an overwhelmingly successful national debut at the WOCN(Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society) Conference. Many of the nurses and medical professionals at the conference were heard to say:
- "My patients need this..."
"This is a fantastic product!"
"This is a well designed product!" (This from an Bio-medical Engineer)
"I've been looking for a product like this for years!"
"Why hasn't anyone designed anything like this before?"
It is true that Ostomy Armor is making inroads to the medical community, and the word about our product is getting out to those of you who need this product. We hope to be able to serve you in the future. Continue to watch this web site for more information. |

Re: Ostomy Armor
I was asked by Mr. Scott to evaluate his Ostomy Armor on his initial prototype. I am an enterstomal therapist (ET) with 35 years of service in the Medical profession.
I have seen and worked with just about every type of ostomy appliance on the market.
Mr. Scott has made numerous revisions and improvements on Ostomy Armor and at this time, I feel he has perfected it whereby a patient who needs maximum protection, will have it with Ostomy Armor.
Ostomy Armor is the answer to the person, who is especially active, whether it be mowing the lawn, skiing, biking, etc. It will protect the stoma from all types of injuries.
It promotes longer wear time for your regular appliance, regardless of which brand you wear, as it protects the motions which causes detachment.
I am happy I have had a small part in the development of Ostomy Armor.
Sincerely,
Ruth L. Pilan, ET |

"...Gordon has done amazing things with his Ostomy Armor system. Every day it seems he has conquered another challenge, and proven to himself and others that his device is what has made all of this possible for him. I am convinced that this device was the determining factor in Gordon's rapid recovery from his surgery, and was what brought him back into the mainstream of life. Before, he just existed, but now he is truly living and enjoying life again. It makes me happy to see he is doing so well, and as we have said on many occasions, "life is too short as it is, why waste a single minute when you can do something about it?"

RE: Gordon Scott's Ostomy Armor
General Observations:
Mr. Scott's Ostomy Armor provides extra security for the seal on the ostomy appliance. The armor of the device provides a new-found confidence in that beyond securely holding the adhesive in place, protection is provided against tear-aways, puncture, and the inherent vulnerability of appliance failure. It is comfortable and does not restrict movement or activity.
Personally Speaking:
Ostomy Armor has significantly improved the quality of my life. I play in a rock and roll outfit, and my guitar rests right on the site of my stoma. Therefore the appliance is vulnerable to detachment. With the armor, my appliance is well protected during practice and performances.
Ostomy Armor provides me 100% assurance that my appliance will not fail when laying on my stomach, when getting a chiropractic adjustment, or when, for whatever reason, I need to lie on my stomach.
Ostomy Armor provides confidence for my partner as well as myself during intimate relations.
Ostomy Armor is a money saving invention in that the seal on the appliance barrier adhesion is enhanced. Therefore, they last twice as long.
I also have a bit of an interstomal hernia, which the armor protects and holds in. The benefits here are both physiological and cosmetic.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Daniel E. Read
